New trainees in Statkraft

A group of engineering, economics and strategic management graduates started their career in Statkraft this week.
Statkraft is a popular employer among students worldwide. For this year's trainee program Statkraft received 1340 applications.
Statkraft's International Trainee Programme is a two-year program with four different work rotations, of which at least one will be abroad. The trainees are recruited by a specific department, where they will continue in a new position upon completion of the programme.
Many of Statkraft's trainees have a background from engineering or economics, but Statkraft also hires young and promising talents with other majors. The common denominator among today's trainees is a strong commitment to renewable energy and the task of solving the climate challenge, interest in technology and solid academic performance.
The trainee programme gives candidates a thorough introduction to the organisation, operations and strategy. They are given a permanent position as a trainee in one of Statkraft’s business or staff areas, and a tailor-made rotation programme with a dedicated manager to ensure their learning and development.
Nikolai Austarheim is a Norwegian national and he holds an MSc in Product development and production from the Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU). His first rotation as a trainee will be at the PTE unit at Lilleaker within the Power Generation business area.
Larissa Leuenberger is a Swiss national and she holds an MSc Strategic Marketing Management from BI Norwegian Business School in Norway. Her first rotation as a trainee will be at the FPS Systems and Tools unit within the CFO business area.
Dominique Farag is an American-Egyptian national and she holds two MSc degrees in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and from HEC Paris (école des Hautes Etudes Commerciales). Her first rotation as a trainee will be at Corporate HSSE unit within the Corporate Staff business area.
Morten Aslesen is a Norwegian national and he holds an MSc in Energy from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). His first rotation as a trainee will be at the MENO Nordic market analysis Oslo unit within the Market Operations business area.
