  • Statkraft AS: BKK negotiations ended

    (Oslo 11 November 2013) The letter of intent from 24 January between Bergenhalvøens Kommunale Kraftselskap (BKK), Haugaland Kraft, Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL), Sognekraft and Statkraft has been has been terminated. It has not been possible to reach agreement as regards the value of the assets involved, and the efforts to achieve an agreement based on the intention to implement changes in the ownership structure of BKK and power plants in western Norway have therefore come to an end.

    (Oslo, November 12, 2013) Statkraft donates NOK 1 million to relief work after the typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The money will be canalized through Red Cross Norway in which Statkraft already has a cooperation agreement with. Statkraft has operations in several Asian countries, including the Philippines through its subsidiary SN Power.

    (Oslo, 27 June 2014) Statkraft has entered into an agreement with a Finnish consortium for the sale of hydropower assets in Finland. Statkraft receives a fee of approx. NOK 2.0 billion. The accounting gain is approx. NOK 1.2 billion.
